Robust they are

Energetic they are

Helping each other and Acting together

To preserve food......

Each guided by each

No one meant to be alone

Every one finds the correct path

And no one gets lost!

Queen is the ruler

She has the power;

Not to demolish the opponent

But to protect the colony!

Nobody has starvation

Needs are pre-arranged

Each works hard

Gets a rest on rainy days......

No one wants to protest

No one points the finger

Every one likes to follow

Cost of Living! (Of course in Sri Lanka)

Someone says:

“The cost of living is high!”

Because, “It is really hard and harsh to earn the bread…”

Someone says:

Because, “The price of fuel is so high…”

Someone says:

Because, “It is hard to pay the loans…”

Someone says:

Because, “It is difficult to renew the tyres of the car…”

Because, “It is hard to increase the shares in the stock market…”

Towards the CONSOLATION

Street is empty, dark and misty

No one ahead to pass

No one behind to follow

Walking down the street, I am

A bright light paving the way

Sensing clearly where it comes from, I am

But, everyone does not see

Still the light is bright and visible to everyone!

Rainbow

Fortunate eyes see

The heavenly displayed seven colours

In the dull skies

Hopeful hearts wait

Until it disappears

Patient minds stair

For a longer period

Calm hands do not

Point-out

Senses with solidarity and friendship

Imply the fellow beings to see the Rainbow;

Which is not synthetic!

THE Mango Tree

Leaves shine so bright

Fluttering in the wind

Thieves try to pluck the mangoes, smelling so sweet………

The tree is strong, clam and still

With full of harvest

Anyone can taste them……...

Hurting the tree and eating mangoes,

Throwing the rest around and showing the gratitude,

Many people are………

Someone abuses the tree, when they miss the target…

“Nobody eats these mangoes! They are not eatable! They stink!”

“Boles are too high! No one can reach them!”, they say......

Still the leaves shine…shine so bright….

Singing birds, white doves, even the crows, have relaxing evenings;

On the verge of the strong boles

Fresh breeze has promised to spread the sweet smell

Birds have already spread the seeds wherever possible

The tree is strong, calm and still……..

Professor who left the Country

He is fed by mother Lanka
He is taught by mother Lanka
He stood on his foot because of the strength given by mother Lanka
He graduated as a Sri Lankan
He went for his post graduation with the help of a Sri Lankan scholarship

But,

He returned home not as a Sri Lankan
He returned home not to stay, but to just visit

Now,

He works for his second motherland
His brain waves are not for mother Lanka but for his second motherland........

Masks

We will feel unhappy
We will feel sorrow
Many of us will never show those
inner feelings to the world...
